At a glance

Until 1993, there was no office at the upazila level of the Ministry of Education. But there is a need to set up offices at the upazila level to ensure quality development of secondary education, academic supervision, administrative and financial transparency. For this reason, the Ministry of Education first set up the Upazila Project Office in 1993 through national stipend activities through 4 projects. Provision is made in the documents of these projects that at the end of the project period the manpower will be transferred to the revenue sector and an Upazila Secondary Education Office will be set up. Accordingly, the Upazila Secondary Education Office was established at the end of the project in 2001. It is now a grassroots administrative unit of the Ministry of Education. All the departments under the Ministry of Education, the activities of the department are implemented through this office at the field level. Secondary education office activities are running in all the upazilas of Bangladesh. The Upazila Secondary Education Office is located in a beautiful and pleasant environment on the ground floor of the Upazila Complex building inside Asashuni Upazila Parishad.
